Why BLG exists

Mike Burde is one of those rare leaders who has spent his career doing more than improving schools. He has challenged the assumptions underneath how schools are designed to work. I've had the privilege of working alongside Mike and have watched him lead with a clear sense of purpose, a deep belief in learners, and an uncommon ability to connect vision to the systems, structures, and people needed to make that vision real. His experience with personalized and competency-based learning, continuous improvement, and organizational transformation gives him a perspective that few leadership consultants can genuinely offer. What excites me most about Burde Leadership Group is that Mike is not simply going to tell leaders what to do. He understands the messy, human work of leading change when the vision is bigger than the system's current reality. He knows that meaningful transformation requires leaders to align people, purpose, practice, and policy around a shared vision rather than simply layering new initiatives onto old ways of working.
